" HABESHA INC , founded in 2002, is a volunteer-based non-profit organization committed to the education and upliftment of youth of African descent. HABESHA, Inc. is an environmentally conscious organization that cultivates leadership in youth through practical experiences in sustainable agriculture, entrepreneurship, holistic health, cultural education, and technology.

Black To Our Roots is a HABESHA brainchild that assists youth in recognizing and reclaiming their African identity through extensive research on African history and culture while on location in Ghana.

Sankore Foundation is delighted to partner with HABESHA during the 2009 Black To Our Roots campaign. Sankore supports the logistic, linguistic, accommodations, and tour services needs of HABESHA during its northern swing through Ghana as an integral part of the Black To Our Roots youth experience. "

Morehouse


Morehouse College has established an innovative, co-ed, study abroad program, the Morehouse Pan-African Global Experience (MPAGE). Students discover that societies can renew themselves through combining modern science, ancient knowledge of plants, and adherence to principles of social justice, by creatively using plants to grow an economic base.

SANKORE FOUNDATION AT GHANA'S 50TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

THE SANKORE FOUNDATION Corp. contributed significantly to the celebration of cultural diversity in Bongo, Bolga, and Tamale; and the commemoration of the 50th Year of Ghanaian Independence and 200 years of slavery abolition. The commemoration also launched the philanthropic partnership of THE SANKORE FOUNDATION Corp. and the government of Ghana. The coalition actively involved Boniface Gamillam, the Upper East Regional Minister, Francis A. Asampana District Chief Executive, Salifu Baba Atamale Lemyaarom, the Paramount Chief of the Bongo District, as well as Chiefs from 32 surrounding municipalities, and a three day long welcome celebration. THE SANKORE FOUNDATION Corp. successfully hosted 23 participants from American as part of the 50th Year Celebration of Ghanaian Independence.
